Dr Carolyn Stulner

Dr Carolyn Stulner is a dual-qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, who obtained her dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 1996, and her medical degree with Honours at the University of Western Australia in 2003.

After gaining experience in the UK, Dr Stulner completed her formal accredited training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Melbourne and Perth and passed the final fellowship exams in 2007.

She was in private practice for 13 years before starting WA Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and regularly attends conferences in order to keep up to date with evolving surgical techniques and medical advances such as implantology and 3D surgical planning. Her particular work interests are the management of impacted teeth, bone grafting and implant surgery.

Dr Stulner is a member of ADAWA (Australian Dental Association WA), AMAWA, ANZAOMS (Australian & New Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons), DSSWA (Dental Specialists Society WA), Women in Dentistry Society WA, ITI (International Team for Implantology) and AOS (Australian Osseointegration Society).

She is also actively involved in dental education, lecturing and supervising at the highly regarded Australian Dental Association’s Practical Oral Surgery course since 2009. In her spare time Dr Stulner enjoys spending time with her teenage children, hockey, skiing and travelling.

Dr Lee Kaing

Dr Tran-Lee (Lee) Kaing is a dual-qualified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. She has a Bachelor in Dentistry with Honours and a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery from The University of Melbourne, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. Having completed speciality training in WA, she has had extensive surgical experience, and has worked at hospitals in Perth, Melbourne, Hobart and Canberra.

She was awarded the Australian New Zealand Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon (ANZAOMS) medal for the highest mark for her final Specialist Examinations in 2016 and finished as the country’s top candidate.

Dr Kaing gained international experience at Oxford University Hospitals in the UK on a Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) sponsored fellowship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

On return to Perth, Dr Kaing works in public and private practices, and is a Consultant Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital where she teaches medical students and is involved in supervising and training the next generation of Oral Maxillofacial surgeons.

Dr Kaing is up-to-date with the latest technology and 3-D and virtual surgical planning. She attends regular meetings and conferences for the most contempory advances in surgery. She is a member of ADA (Australia Dental Association), AMA (Australian Medical Association), ANZAOMS (Australian New Zealand Association of OMS), DSSWA (Dental Specialist Society WA), and WID (Women in Dentistry). She is an ITI (International team for Implantology) Study Club director, and lectures and teaches at various courses and meetings for students, dentists and specialists.

Her special interests include extractions, wisdom teeth removal, implant surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and corrective jaw surgery.

Outside of work, Dr Kaing is a mum to 2 lovely daughters, and enjoys spending time with family and travelling.
